A Little History

Bob Elion was born in 1943 in New London, Connecticut, graduated from the University of Hartford with a BA in English Literature in 1968 from the University of Iowa with a JD in 1971. He was the recipient of the Reginald Heber Smith Community Lawyer Fellowship and assigned to the Leech Lake Indian Reservation in Northern Minnesota from 1971 to 1973 where he was involved in the extensive civil rights litigation in state and federal court. He was the Assistant Director of the Marion-Polk Legal Services in Salem, Oregon, and the Director of Litigation for Susquehanna Legal Services in Bloomsburg, Pennsylvania, In 1976 he and fellow Legal Services Attorney Bob Wayne founded the Law Firm of Elion and Wayne in Williamsport Pennsylvania. Bob is admitted to all federal courts in PA,  the Third Circuit Court of Appeals and the Supreme Court of the United States.  He has litigated cases in several counties throughout the commonwealth. In his free time, Bob enjoys world travel, mountain climbing, hiking, swimming, tennis, gardening, stone work, renovating historic buildings, and transcendental meditation.
